Engineering and Data

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Insights team within Platform Enablement. Your mission? Help Mews teams turn data into clarity, and clarity into action.

You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver operational and product insights that shape decisions across the company. From defining KPIs to building reporting, to deep-diving into complex datasets – you’ll help ensure that data is not just available, but genuinely useful.

You’ll be part of a team responsible for building self-serve Power BI reporting, developing data models and transformations, conducting ad-hoc analysis in Databricks, and enabling teams to better understand and leverage their data.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in an evolving environment and never compromises on accuracy. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, spotting patterns in messy datasets, and translating complexity into practical recommendations. You’ll collaborate closely with other analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to continuously improve how Mews uses data across its platform.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to provide data insights that shape features and initiatives
  • Define and track KPIs to measure product performance and operational health
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis using SQL and/or Python to support decision-making
  • Design and maintain data models, supporting ETL pipelines using dbt
  • Contribute to company-wide data infrastructure and reporting improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders

You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  • High level of proficiency in SQL
  • Experience building BI reports using tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
  • Basic understanding of cloud data solutions, ideally on Azure
  • Experience supporting product or operational teams with data-driven insights
  • Some experience with Python/R/Scala and data transformation using dbt is a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in written and verbal English

Our tech stack

  • Power BI
  • Azure Databricks (Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouse, Notebooks)
  • dbt
  • Cursor

What Success Looks Like

You are able to collaboratively and realistically plan projects, balancing time, effort and risk while keeping stakeholders aligned throughout. You take ownership of outcomes, ensuring commitments are met and communicating transparently when plans evolve. You combine strong business understanding with technical expertise, knowing which tools to use, when to use them, and how to apply them to solve meaningful problems. You proactively identify and tackle issues, even beyond your immediate domain, using data, experimentation and structured thinking to uncover root causes and deliver practical solutions. You communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, providing context as well as conclusions so teams can make informed decisions. Above all, you step up when something needs ownership, support others generously, and help create an environment where collaboration, curiosity and psychological safety thrive.
