The Polymers System Product Manager owns the end-to-end definition and lifecycle of a polymer 3D printing system offering (hardware, firmware/software, service readiness, and solution ecosystem) and will drive the next generation of HP’s industrial polymer AM products. The role sets a clear value proposition, translates customer and market needs into product requirements and roadmap priorities, and drives cross-functional execution to deliver business outcomes and customer success.

This position will be part of the HP AM Polymers organization and will work cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Quality, Services, Commercial, and partner teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Voice of Customer and data-driven insights (customers, partners, applications, installed base) to define problems to solve, positioning, and roadmap priorities.

  • Defines system requirements and OKRs, aligns cross-functional trade-offs (performance, cost, reliability, compliance), and drives execution with R&D, Quality, and Operations.

  • Partners with Commercial and Services to ensure launch readiness (pricing/packaging inputs, GTM enablement, serviceability, training, supportability) and successful adoption post-launch.

  • Ensures a differentiated value proposition and a coherent system solution (hardware, software, materials compatibility, workflows, and services) that meets customer application requirements.

  • Tracks competitors and industry trends (systems, materials, software, service models) and partners with market intelligence to quantify opportunities, risks, and growth levers.

Education & Experience Recommended:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written)

  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in product marketing, product design, or a related field.

Knowledge, experience and skills:

  • Strong knowledge of additive manufacturing and polymer materials, with ability to translate technical trade-offs into customer value.

  • Experience in one or more target industries (e.g., industrial manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods, healthcare) and understanding of application requirements.

  • Proven B2B product management experience managing complex offerings (hardware + software + services), including roadmap, requirements, and lifecycle management.

  • Experience partnering with R&D and Operations to deliver products through NPI, including quality, reliability, cost, and supply chain considerations.

  • Hands-on experience with customer discovery and analytics (VOC, segmentation, KPIs, installed-base data) to inform product decisions.

  • Strong business acumen (P&L drivers, pricing/packaging inputs, TAM/SAM/SOM, competitive strategy) and ability to build aligned business cases.

  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management across global, cross-functional teams; comfortable working in matrix organizations.

  • Strong influence skills to drive decisions and execution without direct authority; ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize ruthlessly.

  • Strong communication skills (executive-level narratives, requirements writing, and customer-facing storytelling) and ability to evangelize the offering internally and externally.

Impact & Scope:

  • Impacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.

Complexity:
