PRODUCT MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE TRANSFORMATION LEAD
“Help redefine the future of Product Management at HP”

THE OPPORTUNITY
HP is on a multi-year journey to elevate Product Management into a world-class, customer-obsessed discipline. As the Product Management Excellence Transformation Lead, you will translate the VP of Product Management Excellence’s strategy into action—building the systems, capabilities, and culture that shift HP from feature output to true customer-delight outcomes.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact program leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of execution, influence, and product craft.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN AND DELIVER

  • Drive the Transformation Engine
    • Operationalize the PM Excellence strategy across business units, functions, and geographies.
    • Stand up and run cross-functional programs that reshape HP’s product operating model, rituals, tools, and ways of working.
    • Lead high-visibility pilots designed to produce evidence of what works: customer-centric discovery methods, experimentation practices, experience roadmaps, and AI-assisted PM workflows.
    • Translate pilot insights into scalable standards that uplift productivity, creativity, and business outcomes.
  • Build HP’s Future PM Talent Model
    • Run enterprise-wide PM skill assessments, identifying capability gaps and designing pathways that shift behaviors, skills, and mindsets.
    • Design and deploy a world-class PM learning curriculum from foundational to expert levels.
    • Partner with HR to define an updated global PM role architecture, including roles, competencies, progression paths, and a modernized PM identity that reflects HP’s strategic ambition.
  • Elevate the PM Craft
    • Introduce best-in-class practices in design thinking, ethnography, experimentation, customer-journey mapping, and product analytics.
    • Create toolkits, playbooks, methods, and enablement programs that help teams adopt these practices consistently.
    • Support PM teams directly through structured coaching, capability uplift sessions, and embedded learning moments that accelerate real-world application.
  • Bring an Outside-In Perspective
    • Establish a continuous external insights pipeline by engaging global product leaders, top technology companies, and best-in-class organizations.
    • Benchmark HP’s PM capabilities against world standards, translating insights into actionable improvements.
    • Ensure HP remains future-ready by identifying emerging tools, methods, and talent practices that strengthen our competitive advantage.
  • Own Program Performance and Stakeholder Alignment
    • Drive program roadmaps, timelines, risks, and cross-team communications with discipline and clarity.
    • Partner daily with VPs of Product, PM Managers, R\&D leaders, Design, and HR to ensure alignment and adoption.
    • Prepare clear, compelling communications and readouts for executive stakeholders.
    • Ensure measurable capability uplift through KPIs, pilot results, behavioral indicators, and adoption metrics.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A Builder and Change Leader
    • 10+ years in Product Management or product-related transformation roles.
    • Experience driving capability building or operating-model change in large organizations.
    • “Startup in an enterprise” mindset—bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, ability to create structure where none exists
    • Comfortable with ambiguity; skilled at creating structure where none exists.
  • A Customer-Obsessed Product Thinker
    • Deep command of modern product practices across discovery, experimentation, analytics, journey mapping, portfolio management, and customer-centric decision making.
    • Curious about emerging product tools, especially AI-enabled workflows that enhance speed, insight, and creativity.
  • A Program Leadership Expert
    • Able to orchestrate complex, multi-team initiatives with senior visibility.
    • Exceptional communicator who can influence and align diverse stakeholders.
    • Highly organized and able to balance multiple workstreams while maintaining strategic coherence.
