Job Description Summary

The GE Vernova Wind Scope 3 Manager will lead critical sustainability programs that support GE Vernova’s environmental strategy, reporting readiness, and enterprise-wide capability building. This role will be responsible for advancing Scope 3 greenhouse gas inventory management, coordinating sustainability-related audit and assurance responses, implementing circularity leadership across the organization, and supporting the integration of biodiversity considerations into business practices. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and execution discipline to drive measurable progress against GE Vernova’s sustainability priorities.

As a member/leader of the Wind Sustainability team, you will be an active contributor to advancing Winds progress on the decarbonization and conserve pillars of GE Vernova sustainability framework

Key Responsibilities:

Scope 3 Inventory Management & Reporting:

  • Lead the development, management, and continuous improvement of GE Vernova’s Wind Scope 3 greenhouse gas inventory in alignment with the GHG Protocol and internal reporting requirements
  • Partner with Winds sourcing, operations, finance, and product teams to collect, validate, and analyze emissions data across relevant Scope 3 categories
  • Establish robust data management processes, assumptions, methodologies, and controls to improve the quality, transparency, and auditability of Scope 3 emissions calculations
  • Identify key emissions hotspots, risks, and reduction opportunities across the value chain and support prioritization of decarbonization initiatives
  • Support target tracking, internal reporting, and external disclosures related to value chain emissions

Scope 3 Audit, Assurance & Regulatory Response:

  • Lead preparation and coordination of sustainability-related audit and assurance Scope 3 responses, including responses to internal audit, external assurance, customer inquiries, and regulatory reviews
  • Maintain documentation, evidence trails, and process controls to support sustainability data integrity and reporting readiness
  • Partner with legal, controllership, EHS, sourcing, finance, logistics and other key stakeholders to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of responses
  • Identify gaps in processes or controls and drive corrective actions to strengthen sustainability governance and compliance
  • Monitor emerging reporting and disclosure expectations relevant to greenhouse gas emissions, environmental metrics, and sustainability claims

Circularity Leadership:

  • Support and coordinate external circularity responses for customers, industry associations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely communication aligned with GE Vernova’s sustainability strategy and commitments
  • Lead the planning and execution of internal Circularity Week engagement initiatives to increase employee awareness, participation, and alignment with GE Vernova’s circularity strategy
  • Develop and implement circularity training programs to build employee awareness and practical understanding of circular economy principles across GE Vernova
  • Translate enterprise circularity priorities and regulations into role-relevant training content, tools, and communication materials for key functions including engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and commercial teams
  • Partner with business leaders and HR/learning teams to embed circularity concepts into existing capability-building programs where appropriate
  • Track training adoption, effectiveness, and engagement, and continuously improve content based on business needs and feedback
  • Support broader internal change management efforts that advance circularity understanding and implementation across the organization

Biodiversity Strategy Support & Integration:

  • Support the development and integration of biodiversity considerations into GE Vernova’s sustainability programs, policies, and operational practices
  • Conduct research and analysis on biodiversity-related risks, opportunities, and emerging frameworks relevant to GE Vernova’s business and value chain
  • Partner with environmental, sourcing, operations, and site teams to identify opportunities to incorporate biodiversity considerations into decision-making and project execution
  • Help develop internal guidance, metrics, and reporting approaches related to biodiversity and nature-related impacts where appropriate
  • Monitor external trends, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory developments related to biodiversity and nature disclosures

Climate Transition Plan Development & Execution:

  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of GE Vernova’s Wind climate transition plan, ensuring alignment with enterprise sustainability goals and external reporting expectations
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define decarbonization levers, milestones, assumptions, and implementation roadmaps across operations and the value chain
  • Track progress against climate-related targets and transition plan actions, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Help translate climate strategy into actionable business plans, metrics, and governance processes that support execution and accountability
  • Support internal and external communications related to the climate transition plan, including disclosures, customer inquiries, and stakeholder engagement

Program Management & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Drive cross-functional coordination across sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, methodologies, and deliverables
  • Establish clear governance, milestones, and performance tracking for assigned sustainability programs
  • Prepare executive-ready updates, summaries, and recommendations for leadership stakeholders
  • Influence and engage stakeholders across the business to drive accountability and measurable outcomes
  • Contribute to the evolution of GE Vernova’s broader sustainability strategy through practical implementation insights and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience leading programs in corporate sustainability, greenhouse gas accounting, environmental reporting, ESG, and/or related fields is required.
  • Experience with Scope 3 greenhouse gas accounting and reporting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, assurance processes, or regulated disclosures is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the energy, industrial, or manufacturing sector is desirable.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong understanding of greenhouse gas accounting principles, particularly Scope 3 emissions methodologies and the GHG Protocol
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting, audit readiness, internal controls, and environmental data governance
  • Familiarity with circular economy principles and employee training or change management program implementation
  • Understanding of biodiversity and nature-related sustainability topics, frameworks, and emerging disclosure expectations
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical topics for diverse audiences
  • Strong execution, collaboration, and influencing capabilities across a complex matrixed organization
