Job scope/summary:

The SD&O Communication Manager role leads all strategic communication for the HP Solutions Delivery & Operations organization (over 6500 employees globally). The role compiles, manages and aligns all centralized email communication, web presence and social media presence for the organization, as well as the overall branding strategy definition and execution for the leadership team. The SD&O Communications Manager will also lead the communication aspect of any strategic SD&O projects, as well as any communication-specific projects for the full organization (incl. VIA-related comms projects).

Job specifics/responsibilities:

  • Defines, plans and executes the overall branding strategy for the SD&O organization and its leadership team
  • Leads all written centralized email communication for the SD&O organization
  • Leads SD&O web presence content evaluation, compilation and editing
  • Leads social media presence for the organization and its leadership team
  • Supports project communication for the organization and its L4 groups
  • Leads selected team engagement topics and projects
  • Leads other creative projects and initiatives, as required ad hoc
  • Manages HP representation at internal and external events

Key deliverables/accountabilities:

  • An overall branding strategy for the organization is defined and then implemented
  • All written centralized email communication for the organization is sent on time, with high level of messaging quality and attention to detail
  • Social media presence for the organization is appealing and engaging
  • Communication & creative projects are delivered in a timely manner, with all planned deliverables completed
  • Team engagement and creative initiatives enhance overall employees experience in SD&O

Internal

  • SD&O senior L2 and L3 leaders
  • All SD&O L3 and L4 organizations

External

  • Suppliers, Partners, External event teams

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

  • Typically 10+ years’ experience in the IT industry, ideally in Communication Management and/or Project Management roles
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Marketing, Communications, IT service management or Project Management
  • Experience working with the Poppulo communication management tool
  • Experience in project management, all PM certifications are a plus
  • Experience with service delivery management and knowledge of delivery processes
  • Experience interacting with Customers, Partners and external event organizers

Other requirements:

  • Fluent English, with excellent written communication skills
  • Other languages knowledge are nice to have
  • Business acumen of services delivery organization
  • Able to understand global business processes and identify impact of change
  • Able to work professionally with confidential information
