The
mission of this role

 

Be responsible for the General Ledger and ensure high-quality accounting execution, acting as a senior technical reference within the team and supporting alignment of accounting activities under the direction of the Finance Director.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Act as General Ledger ensuring accurate postings in SAP, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for the assigned entity in line with group timelines and instructions
  • Review P&L, margins, and balance sheet accounts; identify discrepancies and post corrections within established accounting policies
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items
  • Coordinate tax-related activities with external advisors, under Finance Director guidance
  • Prepare accounting documentation and support local statutory audits, escalating issues when required
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP, tax regulations, and internal accounting procedures
  • Coordinate and oversee daily activities of the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate execution
  • Act as a senior technical reference for accounting topics within the team
  • Support alignment of accounting practices and closing timelines across entities
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives defined by Finance leadership
  • Collaborate with other departments and entities to ensure accurate and consistent financial data

 

Requirements

 

  • Accounting degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in general accounting with solid knowledge of local GAAP and accounting principles
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; SAP knowledge is an asset
  • Advanced English and Spanish level
  • Strong technical ownership with reliable execution
  • Solid judgment within established frameworks
  • Clear, pragmatic communication style
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
