Our client is a global food company based in Barcelona, Spain, operates in over 50 countries across Europe and Africa, offering more than 30 local brands. 

Job description:
We are looking for a Product Portfolio Optimization Specialist - Temporary to drive portfolio optimization, decomplexity and efficiency initiatives across the product portfolio. This role combines project management, data analytics and cross-functional leadership to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize initiatives and deliver measurable business value.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead portfolio optimization and decomplexity projects across products, ingredients, specifications and processes.

  • Analyze portfolio performance, complexity drivers and operational data to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.

  • Manage cross-functional projects using structured project management methodologies, ensuring delivery on scope, timeline and objectives.

  • Build business cases and track financial benefits, savings and value realization.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and R&D to drive alignment and execution.

  • Facilitate alignment among R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain teams.

  • Transform data into actionable insights that support portfolio, operational and business performance improvements.

  • Establish data-driven prioritization models to maximize value creation and resource allocation across initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Food Science or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in Project Management, Portfolio Management, Business Analytics, Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement roles, preferably within FMCG, Food or Manufacturing

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI development, reporting and data visualization.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar analytical tools.

  • PMP certification (or equivalent project management experience) is a plus.
